CALIFORNIA ROAD TRIP

You may have heard that California is no place like home! Yes, it is one of the places worth visiting. I just took a tour of California, starting from Sacramento through San Francisco to Los Angeles, and I must say that the trip was worth the money I spent. The scenic view of mountains, valleys, rivers, and the ocean, was breath-taking. You cannot stop admiring and giving thanks to God for his great handy work. While in Sacramento, you can visit the Crockery Art Museum, Auto Museum, the Old Sacremento, just to name a few. The Bay area is the place to visit while in San Franscisco as well as the Golden Gate Bridge. Don't expect to see a golden gate though! It is a long stretch of bridge with a nice view of the river and surrounding mountains. You can take a hike up the mountains to get a nice view of the city.

You would love the trip to the Yosemite National Park. It is breath-taking to drive up the mountain along the winding road. It is quite scary and you must remain calm as you climb up the hill otherwise, you would go off the cliff with a little nervousness. Never look down the valley whilst driving since this cal send shivers down your spines. Hahahaha! It takes about an hour to drive from the base to the top of the mountain called the Glacier Point. If you do not have the nerves to drive up the mountain, you can make use of the shuttle service that is provided by the park services. It is a beautiful scene up the mountain.

The main site of action is the city of Los Angeles and its neighboring cities. LA has so much to offer that you will need many days to achieve full satisfaction of your curiosity. A visit to the Universal Studios alone can take the whole day or two. There is so much to do there. It is a whole village by itself. For a fee of about $95 per day, you can tour the studios and have fun on various rides and water rides. The studio tours takes you behind the scenes on how the movies are created. You will never believe all that you see in the movies again. It will certainly change the way you view the movies. Lot's of tricks and techniques are used to trick the eyes. There are places created to look like the streets of London, Italy, New York, Paris, villages in Africa, etc. You cannot stare but marvel at how this make-believe cities are created. Yes, Hollywood can create any thing. Even the waves in the sea are all simulated. They can create the flood scene in a jiffy! You would love to meet the fake great shark in action. Don't skip the 4-D movie experience. You will feel like you are part of the movie. Very amazing!

Also, plan a visit to Disney World. Your visit would not be complete without it. Don't miss their spectacular fireworks and parade of the various cartoons in the night. It is a sight to behold. To get the full experience, plan to stay the whole day.

While in LA, take a tour of Hollywood and Highland. This is where you can shop, dine and enjoy the night life. If you are lucky, you may bump into one of the celebrities. The night is filled with various talented performers who line the streets to entertain people for donations. They are interesting to watch them. The Hollywood Walk of Fame is right there. Check out the Dolby Theatre and Madame Toussaud's Museum as well. There are tour buses that can take you through the city for a nominal fee to see various houses of the celebrities. Make sure you visit the Hollywood sign for an up close and personal view. It is best viewed at Lake Hollywood, if you go up the mountains.

If you are staying for three or more days, I urge you to buy their GO LA card online. You can purchase this by visiting latourist.com. This site has a lot of information for those who would love to visit the LA. The GO LA card would save you a lot of money if you plan your day very well. It gives you access to over 33 places of interest. Checkout the Long Beach with its pristine beach and take a tour in one of the boats.

I will be posting some pictures of my trip soon so come back later for more fun stuff.
