Chichén Itzá is one of the new seven wonders of the world located in Mexico. It is the most famous, spectacular, and most frequently visited of Mexico’s Mayan sites. It was the principal ceremonial center of the Yucatán. Different peoples have left their mark on this city Throughout its nearly 1,000 years history. In spite of the many years of harsh weather and climate, many buildings have survived. How the Maya and Toltec viewed the world and the universe is revealed in their artistic works and stone monuments. It is a place worth visiting.
